Anam Cara in the ancient Celtic belief is a soul companion. Someone who can assist here in life, as well they assist and accompany the dying through the emotional and spiritual preparation needed for a peaceful death, and escort the dying person as they travel through the veil to the other side, so they can transition without fear.
